Comprehensive Coordinated Care
The Gastrointestinal Cancer Tumor Conference
To ensure the highest quality care, members of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Tumor Conference and multidisciplinary Tumor Board discuss patients’ diagnostic tests, pathology and treatment plan according to The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines. The board includes specialists in gastroenterology, surgery, medical and radiation oncology, diagnostic and interventional radiology, pathology and patient navigators. As a patient progresses through cancer care, his or her case may be reviewed several times throughout treatment.
