Breast Cancer at a Glance
Each month, as a woman’s breasts go through temporary changes associated with menstruation, a lump may form. The majority of these growths are benign (not cancerous), however any lump should be examined immediately. Some lumps are malignant (cancerous) tumors. Fortunately, breast cancer is very treatable if detected early.
Breast cancer in men is equally serious. Any changes in breast tissue – a lump, swelling, shape or any other concerns – should be examined immediately.
