This program provides individuals with education in Sterile Processing using the guidelines established by the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution. The course is comprised of both clinical and classroom education, for a total of ten days over a 3-5 week period. Upon completion of the program, the student receives a Certificate of completion providing eligibility to sit for the Sterile Processing Technician certification examination.

Sterile Processing Application
Only complete applications will be reviewed for admission. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the Admissions Office has received all necessary documentation. We will confirm receipt of your application by letter or email. You may obtain an application and reference forms at the School of Nursing or by downloading them from here: Application Form / Reference Form.
Your application packet should include:
- Completed application form
- 1½ x 2” photo
- Official (sealed) high school transcript or G.E.D.
- Proof of citizenship
- 2 references
- Paragraph on why you’d like to be in program
- $50.00 non-refundable application fee
Applicants must have an official high school graduation transcript or an official high school equivalency certificate (G.E.D). Records from secondary schools outside the United States must be translated by an approved translating agency. These will be evaluated on an individual basis. Verification of dates and discharge status are required of applicants who have served in the military.
The Admissions Committee selects applicants for admission after thoroughly reviewing the applicant's file. The Faculty and Administration of the School reserve the right to refuse admission to an applicant if it is felt to be in the best interest of the School or the applicant.
Students selected for admission must send a non-refundable matriculation fee (tuition deposit) of $150.00 within one week of the postmarked acceptance letter to assure a place in the class.
Tuition and Fees
2011-2012 Tuition: $500.00.
A non-refundable application fee of $50.00 must be submitted with your application. Students selected for admission must send a non-refundable matriculation fee (tuition deposit) of $150.00 within one week of the postmarked acceptance letter to assure a place in the class.
Books: approximately $100.00. Tuition is due prior to the start of class.
